Going Viral at PCMA : Showcasing the AI Photo Booth

In early January we escaped the cold winter of England and headed off to slightly warmer San Diego for the PCMA conference  to demonstrate the AI photo booth.

We had the pleasure of presenting “Going Viral: Let Your Attendees Build Your Brand For You!” -  specifically focusing on how organizers and brands can create unique, socially shareable moments through personalized generative AI.

Importantly, our Generative AI Experience technology had been hand-picked by PCMA so attendees could try out the tech in simulated event scenarios.

No sponsors.

No pay-to-play.

No sales pitches.

Through the engaging half hour we covered off:

  • The types of AI Photo Booths available in the event market today - along with their upsides and downsides
  • Why is this content valuable to your audience? - an overview of the psychology behind ‘the century of self’
  • The Viral AI Moments of 2023 - who can forget the Balenciaga wearing Pope
  • The Keys to Success for Brands,  Events or Destinations in building engaging, socially shareable content that deliver value - that’s a little too long to summarize here!

Anh Nguyen, Co-Founder & Principal @ Spark Event Collective with Gabriel Henwood, Chief Snapper @ Snapmatic, discussing the different types of AI Photo Booths available today in the events market.

I did start to go into the detail rabbit hole with the technical aspects of the process, like with the diagram below:

When really all anyone wanted to know was this:

Technical demos followed, which ended up being non-stop for 2 days.

With the imminent launch of our Gen 2 AI offering around the corner (Feb 2024), the pace is only going to increase with personalized generative AI experiences, and we are getting ready for that in 2024!

We also cannot but mention the other amazing  tech companies that made up the tech playground rounding off complementary elements of the technical event delivery solutions for events:

We’d also like to thank Visit Pittsburgh for sponsoring the session and Spark Event Collective for organizing the Tech Playground.

AND we made it to the day 2 official recap video!

It’s not quite 15 minutes of fame, but we’ll take it.
