The mission

When last-minute changes threw a wrench into the Mission Impossible-themed F1 activation, we faced a big challenge - an empty stand, a graphic, and a looming live event. Snapmatic was asked to step in and create an engaging photographic activations for the Sports experience agency, Velocity Experience.

The Call to Action

On the Monday, just a week before the live event, we received the call to action. Our mission: devise a captivating activation to fill the void. With limited time and challenging conditions - a 2.5m ceiling height, a semi-outdoor environment, and a tight deadline - the odds were stacked against us.

Inspiration Strikes

We found inspiration in an iconic image of Tom Cruise hanging onto the back of a train. Despite the technical hurdles, we knew it was the key to success.

Creating the Experience
  1. On-Site Mockups: We began by mocking up some shots in the workshop, but most of the work had to be done onsite.
  2. AI Magic: To insert the subject into place, we utilized the Snapmatic AI background removal service. We provided an overlay to help users line themselves up for the shot.
  3. Guidance: An overhead relay screen allowed users to align themselves for the perfect shot, with a brand ambassador guiding them through the experience.
  4. Perfecting the Look: To harmonize the captured image with the background, we applied a film grain filter, creating a seamless blend.
The Big Reveal

The results were displayed on the screen, and users scanned the QR code for their digital takeaway.

A Physical Connection

The key to the success of this activation was its physicality. Participants engaged in an activity that aligned perfectly with the ethos of the Mission Impossible series, receiving a relevant and memorable digital takeaway.
